About the event
Wilderness First Aid (WFA) creates a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. This two day, sixteen hour, course focuses on basic skills necessary for responding to emergencies in the backcountry. We’ll cover response and assessment, survival skills, musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries, environmental emergencies, and medical emergencies.
This is a fantastic course for teens and adults, not only will you gain the skills you need to care for people in remote locations, you will also have a fantastic time learning! There will be a mix of classroom sessions, practice sessions and outdoor scenarios.
16 CEU’s available for EMS employees
CPR: There is an additional 25.00 fee for CPR. It will be taught immediately following class on Saturday
