SOLO Wilderness First Responder
The SOLO Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is the recognized industry standard for professionals such as backcountry trip leaders, camp counselors, mountain guides, and river guides. This course is ideal for those in leadership positions in outdoor settings or individuals seeking advanced wilderness medical training for extensive personal backcountry trips or expeditions.
The WFR course encompasses over 72 hours (8 to 10 days) and provides an in-depth examination of the following areas:
Response and Assessment: The cornerstone of the WFR class is knowing how conduct a thorough patient assessment
Recognize and treating life threatening injuries
Extended patient care and stabilization
