NORTH STAR ADVENTURES

Featured Program: Introduction to Outdoor Culinary Arts

Join North Star Adventures LLC on Saturday April 21st from 9am – 4pm for our Outdoor Culinary Arts Program. Enjoy a day of great food and community. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Sebasticook Regional Land Trust (SRLT). All are welcome. We do require that people under the age of 18 be accompanied by an adult. The event will be held at the North Star Adventures base at 491 Stevens Rd in Unity Maine.

Good food can mean the difference between an amazing experience and a complete disaster. I am thrilled to be working with Beth Arnold and Gerry Saunders to offer this introduction to Outdoor Culinary Arts. Both are accomplished outdoor adventurers and educators. We will be using Dutch ovens, fry bakes, reflector ovens, fire, and stoves to create culinary delights. We will start the day by cooking breakfast; omelettes, biscuits, and cinnamon rolls are on the menu. After a break for brunch, we will begin our dinner creations. Dinner menu includes: chili, quesadillas, cornbread, and cookies. Coffee, tea and other beverages will be served as well. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about a variety stoves. Leave No Trace principles for responsible backcountry fire use will be taught as well.

It is an honor to be a business member of SRLT.  Community connections are an integral part of  North Star Adventures. I will be adding a new Community Connections page to my website soon. It will be the place on the website where you can see our community outreach, service and programming that is designed specifically to promote Waldo County.  You will also be introduced to a new collaborative effort that I am working on with several local businesses.

Roll up your sleeves, bring your favorite coffee mug and join North Star Adventures LLC for a fun (and stomach) filled day.
