This a big shout out to the students from the Unity College Adventure Leadership and Programming class of 2017. As a class project, they researched sites & facilities (for hiking, canoeing and winter backpacking), charted field hazards for my risk management plan, created pre-event information for clients to use upon registraton, and helped strategize safety and risk protocols for North Star Adventures. They created a document that will be invaluable to me as North Star Adventures continues to grow.
However, the most exciting part of this project was collaborating with this group of students. During my last year at Unity College, these students were part of the Adventure Educators Block. During their freshman years we spent many hours in the field together. They are an amazing group of educators! Hoping our paths continue to cross…
